This Returns Policy applies to all purchases made from True North (“we”, “us”, “our”).
True North is operated by an Australian sole trader and complies with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. Change of Mind Returns
We offer a 30-day change of mind return from the date of delivery, subject to the conditions below.
To be eligible for a change of mind return:

The item must be unused, uninstalled, and in original condition

The item must be returned in original packaging, including all accessories, instructions, and protective materials

Proof of purchase must be provided
Change of mind returns will not be accepted if:

The product shows signs of use, installation, wear, or damage

The product has been modified or altered
-
Original packaging is missing or damaged
Return shipping costs for change of mind returns are the responsibility of the customer.
Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
2. Sale Items
All sale or discounted items are final sale and not eligible for refunds or change of mind returns, unless required under Australian Consumer Law.
3. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If your item arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, you must contact us within 7 days of delivery with:

A description of the issue

Clear photographic or video evidence
All faulty or damaged goods will be inspected and assessed before any remedy is provided.
Once assessed, you may choose (where applicable):

A replacement
-
A refund
-
A repair
This process is conducted in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
4. Inspection Process
Returned items claimed as faulty or damaged will be inspected to determine whether:

The fault existed at the time of supply

The issue is due to manufacturing defect, misuse, incorrect installation, normal wear and tear, or external damage
We reserve the right to decline a refund or replacement where damage is caused by misuse, improper installation, off-road misuse, or failure to follow product instructions.
5. Recovery Gear & Safety Equipment
Some products sold by True North are recovery gear or safety-related equipment.
By purchasing and using these products, you acknowledge that:

Use is entirely at your own risk

Improper use may result in damage, injury, or loss

Returns will not be accepted for items that show signs of load stress, stretching, deformation, or use
This does not limit your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
6. Return Process
To initiate a return, you must contact us before sending any items back.
Returns sent without prior approval may be rejected.
Approved returns must be securely packaged to prevent damage during transit. We are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.
7. Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method.
Please allow:

5–10 business days for processing once the return is received and approved

Additional time for banks or payment providers to finalise the transaction
8. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
